Economic Impact Report: Intellectual Impact

UC Davis' 156,000 living alumni provide a wealth of intellectual talent to California.

More than 3,700 University of California retirees live in the Sacramento region, receiving a total of $73 million annually in retirement benefits.

More than 2,300 California businesses are owned by UC Davis alumni, with 684 of those located in the Sacramento region.

UC Davis Extension, the second largest lifelong-education program in California, provides education and training for more than 73,000 students annually, many of them working professionals.

More than 5,800 UC Davis students a year complete internships with local businesses and government agencies, many of them on a volunteer basis.

Every dollar spent by UC Davis grows to return more than $1.75 to California.
