The UC Davis Health System generated $695 million in revenue in 2001-02.

The UC Davis Medical Center treated nearly 1 million patients in 2001-02, with 55,000 emergency room visits and 30,000 patients admitted to the 528-bed hospital.

The Medical Center contributed approximately $7 million in uncompensated charity care and an additional $137 million in unreimbursed Medi-Cal and indigent care.

Research at the School of Medicine and Medical Center included 450 active grants and contracts totaling over $72 million in 2002.

The UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital treats 30,000 companion animals, livestock and zoo animals each year. Another 60,000 animals each year are seen by traveling UC Davis veterinarians who visit ranches, dairies and zoos.
