UC Davis employs a highly skilled workforce of 29,000 on the Davis campus, at its Sacramento medical center and other locations throughout the state.

For every two UC Davis jobs, the university creates another job in the state of California.

UC Davis’ economic contribution to California was nearly five times the $577 million that the campus received from the state in 2001–02.

The annual UC Davis payroll is $961 million, 90 percent of which stays in the Sacramento region.

For every dollar that UC Davis spends, it generates an additional 48 cents in indirect spending in the Sacramento region and an additional 75 cents in spending in the state of California.
