Economic Impact Report: Construction Spending

More than 125 other active construction projects, estimated at more than $719 million, are in progress on the UC Davis campus. Another $178 million in construction projects are under way at the medical center.

Every dollar spent by UC Davis grows to return more than $1.75 to California.
UC Davis contributed at least $2.7 billion to the California economy in 2001-02.
For every state dollar invested in UC Davis, the state of California got at least $5 in return.
After state government, UC Davis is the largest employer in the Sacramento region with nearly 29,000 workers.
UC Davis has generated 45,000 jobs for the state of California — 34,000 in the Sacramento region alone.
