UC Davis Economic Impact Report: A Growing Investment

As one of the nation’s top public research universities, UC Davis has a profound, positive impact on the long-term economic health of California and the Sacramento region—an economy already thriving on the knowledge and discoveries that result from scholarly and scientific research, a leading academic health system, and the brainpower of more than 6,000 graduates each year. The income and innovative ideas generated by UC Davis are powering today’s economy and hold great future promise for the citizens of California. UC Davis is preparing the next generation of workers and leaders for a technological, global society; transferring cutting-edge research to a wide array of fields; providing public service that enhances the quality of life for all California residents; creating new jobs and attracting new revenue; and partnering with our community to bring the best of the university to its doorstep.

Every dollar spent by UC Davis grows to return more than $1.75 to California.
