The Feb. 28 Varsity Theatre showing of the film "The Last King of Scotland" will be a fundraiser for the UC Davis chapter of Engineers Without Borders, which hopes to travel this summer to Nkokonjeru, Uganda, to help with sanitation and health issues.

Actor Forest Whitaker, star of the film, was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ugandan dictator Idi Amin.

The evening begins at 7 p.m., when engineering students will briefly describe their upcoming work in Uganda. The film will follow. After the film there will be an open discussion and Q&A.

Tickets are $10 and are available now at the Saturday Davis Farmers Market and at the Varsity box office, 616 Second St., beginning Friday (Feb. 23).
