* Dec. 4, Sunday -- Although no tickets remain for Astronaut Steve Robinson's free public lecture in Jackson Hall of the Robert and Margrit Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts at UC Davis, you can still tune into his talk through a live webcast from the UC Davis home page. His talk, "Return to Flight -- Discovery's Mission to the International Space Station," will begin at 2 p.m. and is part of the College of Engineering Dean's Distinguished Lecture Series. Robinson, who has a bachelor's degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from UC Davis (1978), has flown three missions in space, in 1997, 1998 and this past August, when he carried out the first in-flight repair on the underside of the space shuttle Discovery. Robinson will also be presented with the UC Davis Medal, the highest honor given by the campus to recognize individuals for their unique and extraordinary contributions to the university or the broader community of learning. The webcast will be available when the talk begins from the home page in RealMedia and Windows Media formats.
